Islandworkshop Citylogistics 2.0

The Interreg A project Citylogistics 2.0 is organising an island workshop on Ameland on 20 May.
The workshop’s topic is ‘Possibilities of combined hub solutions for CO2-free postal and goods distribution on the Wadden Islands’. Delivery traffic on the Dutch and German islands will be analysed and the integration of a mini-hub will be explained. In the course of our project, different combined use options for the mini-hub will be investigated and adapted to the needs of different users. About Citylogistics 2.0
Citylogistics 2.0 is a German-Dutch project to reduce logistics emissions in inner-city areas and is supported by the Interreg VI programme Germany-Netherlands. The aim of the project is to develop an innovative, intelligent and sustainable distribution system consisting of an energy-independent, mobile minihub and a newly designed and developed electric vehicle – LEFV (Light Electric Freight Vehicle), powered by the renewable energy provided by the minihub. Modular and made of sustainable building materials, the minihub is also suitable for temporary use. Two 9-month operation and test phases are planned in the twin cities of Groningen and Oldenburg. Both cities are well comparable and have high ambitions to reduce greenhouse gases.
